In English, we use different types of "punctuations" as follows:

We put "full-stop" at the end of a sentence.
% Y1 r4 k" Y! J# m/ L" q我們會在句子的最尾加上句號。
We may also put "full-stop" after specific words like "Mr.", "Mrs." or "Dr."
4 I" b- @5 E2 {3 d7 L我們也可在特定的名稱後加上句號。

* `! Z* ?9 q, z# w/ L) ^& v! r/ T(2) Comma　(逗號) - " , "
We put "comma" in a sentence to separate different parts of it.
我們會在句子中間用逗號把不同部份分開。

(3) Question mark　(問號) - " ? "
5 L# z) i  q% [$ l" h$ BWe put "question mark" at the end of a question.

(4) Exclamation mark　(感嘆號) - " ! "

We use "inverted commas" to quote specific words spoken by someone.

(7) Colon　(冒號) - " : "
We use "colon" to express some examples.
7 i2 f! c7 P1 o3 V, H  s  m我們用冒號來帶出句子中的例子。

(8) Semi-colon　(分號) - " ; "
We can use "semi-colon" to separate two short sentences which have similar meanings.

(9) Dash　(破折號) - " - "
We use "dash" in a sentence to emphasize an explanation or a part of a sentence.
我們用破折號來強調句子中一個解釋或一個句子的部份。
